Before you use it
Insufficient safety data for use in pregnancy — avoid. Can be photosensitizing; apply PM and use SPF. Alpha-arbutin and tranexamic acid are generally preferred alternatives.
On the label
Listed as "kojic acid" in INCI. Unstable in many formulations — kojic dipalmitate is the more stable ester form. If photosensitivity is a concern, consider alpha-arbutin or tranexamic acid instead.
