Before you use it
The classic C+E+Ferulic combination is among the best-studied antioxidant serums in cosmetic literature. In pure oil form, tocopherol is quite occlusive — use sparingly in spot applications or dilute.
On the label
Listed as "tocopherol" or "tocopheryl acetate" in INCI. The acetate form is more stable but must convert to active tocopherol before working. Both are effective; look for the combination of C+E in the same formula.
